Maintenance Sales & Account Manager
Full-time | $80,000 base + commission

We are seeking a Maintenance Sales & Account Manager to help grow our landscape maintenance division while ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Sales & Account Manager manages the full lifecycle of maintenance clients from initial consultation and sales to long-term account management and relationship building.

This role combines:
  • Landscape service sales
  • Client relationship management
  • Account oversight and profitability analysis
  • Coordination with field crews
This position is part office, part field-based. The manager will regularly visit job sites, meet with clients, and work closely with the maintenance team to ensure quality work and strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
Sales & Lead Management:
  • Respond to incoming maintenance service leads
  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients
  • Prepare and send estimates and proposals
  • Follow up with leads to close sales
  • Track sales activity and maintain organized records
Client & Account Management:
  • Serve as the primary contact for maintenance clients
  • Build long-term client relationships
  • Address client questions or service requests
  • Document property details and client preferences
  • Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients
Maintenance Account Oversight:
  • Review maintenance accounts twice per year for profitability
  • Compare labor hours vs revenue to maintain profitable accounts
  • Recommend scope or pricing adjustments when needed
  • Coordinate with management on staffing and scheduling
  • Help maintain efficient maintenance routes
Marketing & Business Development:
  • Assist with strategies to generate maintenance leads
  • Support bi-monthly client emails or seasonal service promotions
  • Identify opportunities to upsell services such as:
    • seasonal cleanups
    • restoration projects
    • lawn care programs
    • Field Leadership
  • Visit job sites regularly to ensure work quality
  • Communicate client expectations to field crews
  • Provide guidance or training to maintenance staff when needed
  • Help develop and refine maintenance service procedures
  • This role occasionally requires stepping in to support field operations to ensure clients receive excellent service.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • 5+ years experience in sales, account management, or service-based sales
  • 5+ years experience in Landscaping or horticulture experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Valid U.S. driverโ€™s license
  • Fluent in English
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Pacific Northwest ecology
  • Experience with landscape maintenance operations
  • CRM or sales tracking software experience
  • Team leadership or coordination experience
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
ย  ย  ย $80,000 per year
  • 5% commission on all sales generated for new clients, where consultation & estimate is handled by the sales rep. (Commission based on gross revenue of the project, or the 1st year value of annual contracts. Commission rate to be rescinded if client cancels in 1st year of service. Commission to be paid from the 1st deposit on design/installation projects, and from 1st/2nd monthly payments on maintenance/stewardship contracts.)
  • 3% commission on all sales for existing clients, where consultation & estimate is handled by the sales rep. (Same terms as above)
  • 40hrs PTO (PTO use tracked, absences exceeding PTO results in deduction from weekly salary at the equivalent hourly rate of the base salary)
  • 1hr sick leave accrued for every 40hrs worked (sick leave use tracked, absences exceeding PTO results in deduction from weekly salary at the equivalent hourly rate of the base salary)
  • 50% medical, vision, and dental coverage available on company plan.
  • Health benefits & PTO/Sick Time available for use after 60 day probationary period
