Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Plant Care Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health, beauty, and vitality of a variety of plants, including greenhouses, landscaped areas, and indoor plant installations. Your expertise will ensure our clients’ spaces remain lush, vibrant, and thriving. This is a paid position designed for individuals eager to grow their horticultural skills and contribute to exceptional plant care.

Duties

  • Monitor and maintain the health of plants through watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent over or under-watering
  • Assist with greenhouse operations, including plant propagation, transplanting, and environmental adjustments
  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting new greenery, and ensuring overall landscape aesthetics
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely for planting, pruning, soil preparation, and other horticultural tasks
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify signs of disease or pests and implement appropriate treatment plans
  • Support farming activities related to plant growth cycles and crop management in greenhouse or outdoor settings

Requirements

  • Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance; greenhouse experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and water management practices
  • Familiarity with growing techniques for various plants and crops
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of lawn care, farming practices, and agriculture principles
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions for plant care routines
  • Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry materials as needed
