Job description:
We're seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Survey Technician to join the growing surveying and land development team in the DC Metro Area. The ideal candidate will assist with construction stakeout, topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys for residential, commercial, and government projects throughout Virginia, Maryland and D.C.
Responsibilities:
- Support and lead the development of site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepare design and technical documents throughout all project phases.
- Assist with water, sanitary sewer, subdivision, erosion and sediment control, and storm drainage design.
- Produce construction drawings for site layout, grading, geometry, utilities, and stormwater management.
- Prepare planning studies, preliminary and final design plans, and project permitting documents.
- Research codes, entitlement processes, and permitting requirements to ensure compliance.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of your work before submission to senior staff.
- Keep accurate notes from calls, meetings, and site visits.
- Work with project managers to track schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
