Job description

Civil Project Engineer - Land Development

Full Time Professional Bellevue, WA, US

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

Summary of the Role

A Civil Project Engineer is responsible for managing the planning, design, and construction of a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to establish quality standards. This position plays a key role in overseeing project activities, coordinating resources, and guiding team members. The Civil Project Engineer will also foster collaboration and promote synergies across Core States Group to support successful project outcomes and organizational growth.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports and other project documents with little supervision needed.
  • Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application.
  • Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
  • Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements.
  • Work with drafters, designers, and administrative staff to complete projects in a timely manner and within budgets.
  • Preparation of site development plans for large and small scale residential, commercial, industrial, multi-use complexes, master planned communities and business parks.
  • Update and manage spreadsheets, task lists, memos, and other materials related to internal programs.
  • Support internal project administration by setting up new project numbers, organizing billing reports, preparing/tracking contracts, and following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Participate in meetings to review project updates, receive assignments, and take meeting notes as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or another relevant field of study preferred, or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, ability to obtain additional states required.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in civil engineering within an engineering or construction firm.
  • 5+ years of site development design experience.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and client relationship management.
  • Prior experience and a willingness to be a direct hands-on contributor while leading the Engineering function, serving as the subject matter expert.
  • AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency including the use of grading tools and creation of alignments, profiles, corridors, and surfaces.
Work Location

This is a hybrid position based out of the following Core States Group Offices: Roseville, CA; Frisco, TX; Bentonville, AR; Scottsdale, AZ; Bellevue, WA; Kent, WA; Puyallup, WA; or Richland, WA.

  • We are also open to remote candidates based in WA.
