In this role, you will oversee projects from initial planning through design, permitting, and construction while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results. Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple civil engineering and land development projects simultaneously from concept through construction.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.

  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans to ensure successful project execution.

  • Lead project teams consisting of engineers, designers, surveyors, and subconsultants.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of engineering plans, technical reports, specifications, and permit applications.

  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, invoicing, profitability, and resource allocation.

  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain project objectives.

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable regulations, design standards, and client requirements.

  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.

  • Coordinate entitlement, permitting, and agency approval processes.

  • Participate in project interviews, proposals, and business development activities.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunities.

  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers, EITs, and technical staff.

  • Support strategic growth initiatives and contribute to office and company objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, preferably in Texas or ability to obtain Texas licensure through reciprocity.

  • 7-12+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development, infrastructure, or municipal projects.

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Thorough understanding of site development, grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting processes.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a consulting environment.

  • Microsoft 365 proficiency.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with Texas municipalities, counties, utility districts, and regulatory agencies.

  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, and drainage design.

  • Experience preparing project proposals, fee estimates, and contracts.

  • Existing client relationships within Texas land development markets.

  • Experience supporting business development and market growth initiatives.

  • Familiarity with GIS, drainage modeling software, and related engineering technologies.
