A growing civil engineering design firm specializing in private commercial land development is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to support an increasing project workload. This role blends project management, client leadership, technical oversight, and team development in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.
Direct Hire | Hybrid Schedule
Location: Central New Jersey
Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple land development projects from due diligence through construction
* Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects
* Oversee project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and billing
* Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, consultants, and internal staff
* Lead, mentor, and train junior engineers and support staff
* Participate in proposal development and project planning
* Review land development plan sets and ensure quality and compliances
Qualifications:
* 5-8+ years of civil land development experience
* Experience managing projects and people
* Software experience with: Civil 3D, AutoCAD
* Strong client‑facing and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple active projects
* EIT actively pursuing or planning to pursue PE licensure
* PE license in NJ preferred
* Strong understanding of the land development and permitting process
