Industrial Maintenance Technician
Franklin Park, IL (On-site)

Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
Schedule: 5 jobs open, jobs on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, Monday through Friday

About the Role
A fast-expanding and automated food manufacturing company in Franklin Park is adding multiple Maintenance Technicians across all three shifts due to the expansion of a new production line and new product launch. This is a highly automated, state-of-the-art facility and the company is looking for top-level automation and electrical talent to support it. If you have strong electrical and mechanical skills and thrive in a modern, high-speed manufacturing environments, this is a role worth exploring.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems across a highly automated production environment
  • Work with Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc systems including reading ladder logic and making modifications as needed
  • Troubleshoot sensors, motor contacts, relays, inputs, and outputs
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed automated production equipment
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize downtime on active production lines
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment tied to line expansion
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement lasting corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage logs
  • Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures
  • Partner with engineering and operations to improve equipment reliability and uptime
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the facility

What You Need to Have
  • AAS / Maintenance certifications preferred, HS/GED required
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills with a balanced background in both; this role is not purely mechanical
  • Hands-on experience with highly automated manufacturing equipment is required
  • Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read ladder logic and navigate PLC programs to make basic modifications
  • Experience troubleshooting sensors, relays, motor contacts, inputs, and outputs
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred; strong candidates from other automated manufacturing industries will be considered
  • Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment
