Job Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor, supporting both in-store and online fulfillment. Stockroom Associates play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving shipments, organizing products, conducting cycle counts, and preparing customer orders. By keeping the stockroom efficient and organized, this position helps create a seamless shopping experience for athletes at every level.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
  • Receive shipments and verify incoming products against packing slips or invoices
  • Unpack, tag, label, and process merchandise into inventory management systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom/storage space
  • Restock the sales floor and support visual merchandising setup as directed
  • Assist in fulfillment of eCommerce and in-store pickup orders
  • Perform cycle counts and assist in regular inventory audits
  • Coordinate with sales floor staff to ensure timely product availability
  • Follow all store security and loss prevention procedures
  • Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Collaborate with the Stockroom Supervisor and Store Management to execute daily and weekly backroom tasks
  • Communicate inventory or shipment discrepancies to leadership in a timely manner
  • Support store team during promotional events, store openings, or product launches
  • Assist with visual merchandising setups as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • Previous experience in retail, stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take direction and follow established processes and procedures
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Cognitive and Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lift, push, and move packages or merchandise up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods within the stockroom and retail space
  • Bending and Reaching: Regularly bend, stretch, and reach to access or store items
  • Climbing: Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 10 feet
  • Operating Equipment: Safely operate stockroom equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and packaging tools
  • Attention to Safety: Maintain visual and auditory awareness of the environment, including potential safety hazards
  • Cognitive Skills: Ability to multitask, manage shifting priorities, and apply strong time-management and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions
  • Primary work location is in the stockroom and receiving areas of the retail store.
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and evenings as business needs require
  • Occasional work on the sales floor to support operational needs.
  • Fast-paced retail environment with exposure to temperature changes in loading/unloading areas.
