We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to serve as the onsite Supplier Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) at our Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) supplier in Logan, UT. This hands-on, factory-focused role involves supporting RF and mixed-signal CCAs through production testing, troubleshooting, issue containment, and driving continuous improvement to maintain on-schedule deliveries. You will act as the local engineering presence, ensuring technical rigor, schedule adherence, and effective collaboration with the supplier's technicians and engineers, while coordinating remotely with Raytheon program leadership and cross-functional teams. Travel requirements are less than 25% annually, primarily for visits to Raytheon sites (e.g., Tucson, AZ), other supplier locations, or test facilities as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the onsite REA at the supplier: support daily execution and issue resolution (especially around factory test issues), monitor production health, and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of RF and mixed-signal CCAs using bench equipment (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, phase noise analyzer).
  • Investigate test failures: review test data, isolate root cause, implement containment, and drive corrective actions (RCCA) with supplier teams.
  • Verify and improve test methods: assess setups, procedures, calibration/fixtures, repeatability/accuracy, and drive design-for-test enhancements.
  • Ensure configuration control: confirm build standards, ECNs, and documentation flow between Raytheon and supplier are consistent and current.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and design engineering to resolve production, test, and integration issues quickly.
  • Report status and risks: provide clear, data-driven updates on yield, defects, cycle time, and recovery actions; escalate issues early.
  • Represent Raytheon engineering: align supplier execution with program cost, schedule, and technical commitments throughout the product lifecycle

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on electronics troubleshooting and/or failure investigation experience (component-level preferred).
  • Experience with RF and/or mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, production support, or test.
  • Experience managing and driving execution at suppliers or sub-tier suppliers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret prior to start and Secret thereafter; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Electrical design experience for CCAs or electronic subsystems: circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test, production/supplier support.
  • Familiarity with test equipment: Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers (VNA), Spectrum Analyzers, Phase Noise Analyzers, Power Meters.
  • Experience in test problem investigation, yield improvement, and RCCA.
  • Application of Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, and production process controls.
  • Experience with test automation/scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) and test equipment control.
  • Proficiency with EE design/analysis tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, SystemVision, MATLAB, Mathcad, CST, HFSS, ADS.
  • Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience with small technical teams (technical direction, cost/schedule tracking, reporting, proposals).
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a supplier-facing environment.

What We Offer

  • Our values—Safety, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation guide how we build a safer, more connected world.
