Job description

3 openings. They will look at 2-year – 12+-year candidates so the rates will vary. In this Test Equipment Engineer role, the qualified candidate will design and support test equipment for electronic controls. Responsibilities include:
• Implementing automated test solutions on in-house and/or third-party systems utilizing product specific requirements
• Design, integration, maintenance, and configuration management of automated test hardware and software
• Coordinating part procurement and equipment builds to meet design and schedule requirements
• Supporting repair and maintenance for equipment deployed at locations around the world
• Initiating continuous improvement of our electronic controls as a response to test performance and yields
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant and professional experience
• Ability to analyze and debug electronic circuits (e.g. analog, digital, power, and communication)
• Ability to use various laboratory instrumentation (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes)
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving techniques
• Ability to interpret and implement electronic test requirements to demonstrate product performance
• Ability to read, edit, and integrate software
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to effectively multitask and manage priorities
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Ability to automate instrumentation for production testing and/or fault diagnosis.
• Ability to program in various software environments (ex. Basic, UNIX, C++, NI LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, Visual Studio, Python, etc.)
• Ability to design test simulation circuitry with appropriate derating, including schematic capture and PWB layout
• Experience working in a high-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with statistical process control techniques and analytical tools (e.g. Six Sigma, Capability Analysis)
