Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Test Engineer to join them. You will report to the Test Development Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.

To be considered for Test Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering also considered with strong electrical background).

    • Technical Literacy with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

    • Proficiency with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools; oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc

    • Ability to troubleshoot and isolate hardware failures

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Additional Skills of Interests

    • Knowledge of Problem-Solving Frameworks and RCCA efforts

    • Knowledge of programming structures and algorithms

    • Experience with LabVIEW or Python is advantageous

As a Test Engineer, you will:

  • Develop written test and inspection procedures from customer specifications and drawing packages

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate test methods and verify accuracy of test instructions

  • Support production personnel to resolve technical issues during manufacturing, isolate cause of test failures, and provide feedback on proposed solutions

  • Perform test equipment gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GRR)

  • Monitor test equipment performance; support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) of test anomalies

Blacksburg, VA $60,000.00-$80,000.00 Annually
