Applications Engineers at Texas Instruments (TI) are a highly-motivated, synergistic group with great team spirit and a strong commitment to the customer. In this role, you will promote TI products and provide technical solutions to customers that will ultimately go into consumer products like smartphones, PC peripherals, personal medical devices, electric cars, e-bikes and much more. You'll also provide technical support and engage with customers to help define new products and opportunities for future product development.
Our applications engineers engage with customers virtually and in person to help solve their toughest technical challenges. Understand customer's needs, develop end equipment expertise, help define our products and be part of what's next! You will work on an applications team in one of TI's product lines to gain a deep understanding of specific products within the business unit - how to position them, typical problems/barriers, how to test/debug and how to solve customer problems at a system level. Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Bio-Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Preferred qualifications:
- Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components
- Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)
- Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)
- Experience with lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skills
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
