Job description

General Laborer – Construction Cleanup & Groundskeeping

Position: General Laborer

Employment Type: Temporary, Temp-to-Permanent, Part-Time & Daily Assignments

Pay Rate: $15–$17 per hour

Typical Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, depending on assignment and job site


Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to assist with construction cleanup, property maintenance, groundskeeping, and general labor assignments. Work may vary by job site and can include short-term daily assignments as well as opportunities to transition into permanent employment.


The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, willing to work outdoors and in varying conditions, and able to follow directions and complete tasks safely and efficiently.


Responsibilities

Perform general construction cleanup and debris removal.

Sweep, shovel, rake, and maintain clean and organized work areas.

Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.

Assist construction crews with general labor and site preparation.

Remove trash, debris, and unwanted materials from job sites.

Perform basic groundskeeping and property maintenance.

Mow, weed-eat, rake, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas as needed.

Clear leaves, branches, and other outdoor debris.

Assist with light demolition and cleanup when assigned.

Maintain clean, safe, and orderly job sites.

Use basic hand tools and equipment safely.

Follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and property managers.

Follow all company and job-site safety requirements.

Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous construction, landscaping, maintenance, or general labor experience is a plus but not always required.

Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled assignments.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to follow directions and work at a steady pace.

Must be comfortable performing physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials.
