Job Summary

The General Labor Team Member performs a variety of production and support functions throughout the Forest, MS Poultry Plant. This position is responsible for entry-level general labor tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Foods policies, food safety standards, quality expectations, and production requirements. Team members may work in multiple departments based on operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and promote Tyson Foods' safety culture at all times.
  • Perform general production and labor duties as assigned throughout the facility.
  • Support poultry processing, packaging, sorting, inspection, and product handling operations.
  • Maintain product quality and food safety standards.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and production lines using approved cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Operate basic hand tools and production equipment as authorized and trained.
  • Complete required production records, logs, and documentation accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production and safety concerns.
  • Assist with material handling, product movement, and production support activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
