Job description

Job Title: General Laborer – Residential Restoration and RemediationJob Description

This role focuses on supporting residential restoration and remediation projects for homeowners impacted by water, mold, fire, and other types of property damage. You will assist with emergency response services, demolition, cleanup, drying operations, and restoration activities to help return properties to safe, clean, and livable conditions across New Jersey.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with residential restoration and remediation projects involving water damage, mold, fire, and other property damage.
  • Support emergency response services by helping set up and carry out mitigation and cleanup activities when issues arise.
  • Perform demolition tasks, including removal of damaged building materials, fixtures, and contents in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Carry out cleanup and debris removal to prepare spaces for drying, repair, and restoration.
  • Assist with drying operations by setting up, monitoring, and moving drying equipment and other restoration tools as directed.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for demolition, repair, and restoration tasks.
  • Load, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment throughout the workday on active job sites.
  • Work inside occupied and unoccupied residential homes while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor with homeowners and occupants.
  • Contribute to a mix of water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire cleanup, demolition, and repair projects as assigned.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to work safely in construction, restoration, and remediation environments.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and homeowners to support smooth project execution and address questions or concerns.
  • Provide flexible support for emergency response calls when needed, including assisting outside standard hours as required.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ years of construction, restoration, demolition, or general labor experience.
  • Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience performing demolition, cleanup, or material removal on job sites.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday.
  • Comfort working in residential homes and active job site environments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physical work that involves lifting, carrying, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with mold remediation, fire restoration, or emergency services is a plus.
  • IICRC certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Construction, carpentry, drywall, painting, or remodeling experience is preferred.
  • Experience working directly with homeowners and customers.
