Job description

Role:Civil Construction Estimator

Location:: Mandeville, LA (Onsite)

Compensation: $101,000 - $120,000 per annum + benefits 
 
Skills: Civil Construction Estimator, Estimator, Project Estimation, Heavy Highway construction, Highway, Construction, HCSS, P6 (Primavera), Primavera
 

Must have:

  • Stable work history
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical, engineering or construction management
  • 10 years minimum of Heavy Highway Construction experience
  • 10 years’ experience doing estimation work
  • Estimating software to include HCSS (Heavy Bid) and/or P6 (Primavera) software
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Excellent communication

Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management required
  • 10 years’ experience doing estimation work.
  • Execute take-offs of construction documents.
  • Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid using state and federal specifications.
  • Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed. / Prepare estimates by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred during the life cycle of a project.
  • Develops and maintains company resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Help review bidding decisions for upcoming projects.
  • Communicate plans and contract terms to relevant parties.
  • Work with project management team to manage financial aspects of projects

Additional information:

  • Comfortable working in-office, 5 days per week in a pet-friendly environment (dogs are present in the office). 
  • Salary: DOE $100K to $120K
  • Bonus: Discretionary Bonus Structure
  • Interview Process: 2 rounds with family owners (at lease one onsite interview)
