How much do laborer assistant jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 28, 2026, the average hourly pay for laborer assistant in Reno, NV is $17.47, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.34 and $19.18 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are some common challenges Laborer Assistants may face on the job, and how can they prepare for them?

Laborer Assistants often encounter physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, working in varying weather conditions, and standing for extended periods. Additionally, adapting quickly to different job sites and following safety protocols are essential. To prepare, candidates should focus on building physical stamina, familiarize themselves with standard safety practices, and maintain a positive, adaptable attitude. Effective communication with supervisors and team members also helps navigate daily responsibilities and ensures a safe, productive work environment.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Laborer assistants typically do not earn $10,000 a month without specialized skills or experience. High-paying jobs that can reach this level often involve skilled trades, sales, or entrepreneurship, and may require certifications, licenses, or extensive experience rather than formal degrees.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

As a laborer assistant, earning $2000 a week from home is unlikely since this role typically involves physical tasks on-site. To reach higher income levels remotely, consider developing specialized skills, obtaining relevant certifications, or transitioning into roles like virtual project management or technical support that offer higher pay. Most laborer assistant positions are paid hourly and require physical presence, limiting remote earning potential at that level.

What are Laborer Assistants?

Laborer Assistants are entry-level workers who support skilled laborers and tradespeople on construction sites, warehouses, or other manual labor environments. Their duties typically include carrying materials, cleaning work areas, loading and unloading equipment, and assisting with basic tasks as directed by supervisors. They play a crucial role in ensuring that projects run smoothly by handling routine tasks and helping maintain a safe and organized workspace.

What is the difference between Laborer Assistant vs Laborer?

What jobs will be eliminated in the next 10 years?

For laborer assistants, automation and technological advancements are expected to reduce demand for manual labor roles that involve repetitive tasks, especially in construction and manufacturing. Jobs requiring physical labor may decline as machinery and robotics become more capable, but roles that involve skilled supervision or specialized tasks will continue to be needed. Staying adaptable and developing technical skills can help mitigate job displacement risks.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Laborer assistants typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily wages are usually associated with specialized roles like skilled trades, contractors, or consultants in industries such as construction, oil and gas, or project management. These positions often require advanced skills, certifications, or extensive experience and may involve long hours or high-risk environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Laborer Assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Laborer Assistant, you need physical stamina, basic math skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hand tools, power equipment, and workplace safety protocols is commonly required. Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions are important soft skills for this role.
