Job Description
Perform advanced laboratory testing while supporting daily laboratory operations within a collaborative international healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside physicians, pathologists, radiology personnel, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, this Medical Laboratory Supervisor role combines hands-on clinical laboratory practice with quality oversight, workflow coordination, and team support in a professionally managed healthcare setting.
This opportunity offers the ability to work across a broad laboratory scope while contributing to accurate diagnostics, patient safety, and continuity of care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank services.
  • Collect, prepare, and process biological specimens while ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timely reporting of results.
  • Support daily laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and laboratory workflow coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, pathologists, radiology personnel, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support clinical decision-making and patient care.
  • Maintain laboratory safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • MLS (ASCP) certification or MLS (ASCP) eligibility required with current BLS certification.
  • 5+ years of recent Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician experience, including clinical practice within the last year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Preferred
  • Previous laboratory leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary or high-acuity clinical environments.
