Days and Hours - Monday and Wednesday 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Position Goals - Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Pharmacy Technician will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Instruction is provided using an approved curriculum and industry-relevant training materials to prepare students for entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Technician. Job Description - Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis. Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories. Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking. Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations. Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction. Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress. Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.

Minimum Qualifications - 5 years of experience in the field. Prior teaching experience preferred. Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations, document student progress and email students and staff. Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications. Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement. High School Diploma or GED required. Active PTCB certification or a qualifying pharmacy degree (e.g., PharmD). At least 3 years of experience educating or training pharmacy technicians. Physical Requirements This position requires mobility throughout the campus. Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings. Ability to lift, carry, and move program related equipment or training materials up to 50lbs.
