Position Summary:
The Department of Astrophysics and Planetary Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Faculty Pool and welcomes applicants at any time.
Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching of a specified course according to Astrophysics and Planetary Science Departmental guidelines. Courses taught will be in the Department's core natural science program and will include duties as either a lecture course instructor or a laboratory instructor. Other duties will include preparing a syllabus, grading course materials, and reporting the final grades. Lab instructors will also be expected to participate in discussions about the updating and improvement of lab exercises.
Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree in Astronomy or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Substantial experience in the field of Astronomy. Previous teaching experience.
