Job Summary and Qualifications

The Laboratory Assistant receives and processes specimens and carries out basic laboratory procedures. Additionally, there are required clerical tasks such as greeting patients, informing them of the procedures, answering phones and emails, and maintaining records. What you will do in this Role: 


*Obtains Lab samples by various means including venipuncture.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      *Check and maintain supplies for work assignments.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                *Responsible for excellent customer service through various duties including answering telephone calls, charting patient results, and other duties as needed. 


Qualifications: 


*High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                *High school students will be considered provided they are enrolled in a Health Occupations Vocation Program (HOSA/HOE)                                                                                                                                                                                     *Phlebotomist experience is preferred.
