Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support our clientโ€™s medical facility based in Houston, TX 77072. This is a 6-7-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Position Name: Technical Lab - Lab Assistant

Pay rate: $17.20/hr

Location: Houston, TX 77072

Duration: 6-7-months contract with possible extension

Shift: Tues-Sat 2AM-10:30AM


Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing various routine laboratory functions with precision and accuracy to support laboratory professionals and ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare specimens at workstations for testing, including:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Building worklists and aliquoting specimens.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Checking for clots and fibrin in specimens.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Inoculation and slide preparation.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform routine instrument maintenance on some lab equipment.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare reagents and media as needed.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct weekly radioactive wipe tests.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Change gas cylinders as required.
