Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with business leaders and support the execution of HR strategies that drive organizational success. This role serves as a trusted advisor on employee relations, labor relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development while helping leaders navigate complex people-related challenges.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative HR professional with strong business acumen who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and partnering across the organization to create a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, labor relations, performance management, coaching, career development, compensation, and workforce planning.
  • Support employee relations initiatives that foster engagement, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist in developing and executing labor relations strategies for unionized workforces, including newly acquired business units.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters.
  • Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leadership to support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence—including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and HRIS—to implement HR programs and solutions that support business needs.
  • Analyze workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the business.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 5–7 years of Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner experience within a mid-sized or large organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders on HR initiatives and employee relations matters.
  • Experience supporting labor relations and unionized work environments is preferred.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while driving projects to successful completion.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using Workday or another enterprise HRIS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience creating presentations and financial or workforce-related models is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SPHR or PHR certification.
  • Experience supporting unionized workforces.
  • Experience working through organizational change or acquisitions.
