Job description

About Figure
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid designed to perform corporate tasks that address labor shortages and eliminate work that is undesirable or unsafe. Our mission sits at the intersection of advanced AI, robotics, and real-world manufacturing, and we are building the operational backbone to scale production of our humanoid platform.
Role Overview As our first Demand Planner, you will own the end-to-end demand planning function and build the foundational processes that ensure our supply chain seamlessly meets both internal requirements and market demand. You will serve as the critical link between Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain, applying statistical modeling and market intelligence to drive forecast accuracy and support aggressive growth schedules. This role blends deep analytical work with hands-on execution and cross-functional leadership. You will work closely with teams such as Commercial, Manufacturing, Quality, NPI, and Material Planning, and Global Supply Management teams to maintain a highly accurate demand signal in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Aggregate Demand Forecasting & Modeling
  • Own the end-to-end demand planning process, translating commercial pipelines, historical data, and internal product development schedules into a unified master demand plan.
  • Aggregate internal requirements for Test Engineering, R&D, Reliability, and design validation builds.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Quality to factor manufacturing yield losses, scrap rates, and destructive test requirements into the top-level demand signal.
  • Maintain and govern the master file, ensuring dynamic alignment between planned forecasts and actual hardware consumption across all departments.

Internal Stakeholder Collaboration & Prioritization
  • Design and manage part allocation and prioritization plans when supply constraints require balancing commercial delivery against internal testing timelines.

S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Startup Foundation
  • Establish and lead the company's cross-functional S&OP framework to align Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain on a singular operational plan.
  • Facilitate regular demand review cycles to flush out hidden demand signals, changing test scopes, or shifting commercial timelines.
  • Model multiple demand scenarios to de-risk inventory exposure.

Process Development & Data Analytics
  • Define and track core planning metrics and build dashboards to provide cross-functional and leadership visibility.
  • Assist in evaluating future planning software and ERP modules as the company scales.

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain operations, or production scheduling.
    • Experience in high-volume manufacturing or complex hardware environments
    • Experience managing complex Excel models and tracking non-commercial inventory consumption (e.g. yield loss, test requirements).
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data modeling (Oracle or SAP preferred).
  • Familiarity with hardware product lifecycles, engineering change orders (ECOs), and basic manufacturing flow/yield dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel skills for demand modeling.
  • Core Competencies
    • Startup agility mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from the ground up.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to reconcile differing inputs into a single, cohesive data set that is actionable for Material Planning, Manufacturing, and NPI teams.
    • Excellent communication skills to navigate competing priorities between commercial deadlines and engineering requirements.
    • Ability to identify trends in part consumption and manufacturing performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,000 - $160,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
