The Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a global firm seeking to hire a Labor & Employment Legal Assistant/Practice Specialist for their Washington, DC office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.

The firm provides sophisticated counsel on matters involving high-stakes litigation, complex financial transactions, and critical corporate and regulatory engagements.


About the Role:

The Practice Specialist will support the firm’s Labor & Employment group through all stages of litigation, from case inception through settlement/trial/appeal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting litigation attorneys and a working knowledge of trial procedures and federal, state and appellate court rules and procedures. Duties include preparing and filing legal documents, calendar and travel management, case management, and billing/expense support. Role requires strong technical, organizational, and administrative skills and candidates must be adept at managing their time, prioritizing work, and consistently produce high-quality work products under minimal supervision and direction in a deadline driven, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.


About You:

  • Four-plus years of litigation experience required, labor and employment experience a plus.
  • Nationwide federal and multi-district litigation experience preferred.
  • Mastery of the entire Microsoft Suite of products, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Zoom, Teams, bulk data transfer solutions, NetDocs, PACER, Quickbook, UltiPro, Compulaw, Chrome River, TeamSync, ContractExpress, Docusign, Monday.com, DocketBird, and InTapp. Must be able to quickly learn new skills and systems.


Logistics, Salary, & Benefits

  • The current Firm policy requires staff to be in the office a minimum of three days per week with two days working from home (subject to change).
  • Centrally located office near most metro lines.
  • The pay range for this position is: $50,700.00-120,000.00 annually
