LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

The Laundry Associate is responsible for the efficient cleaning, drying, folding, and distribution of all hotel linens, terry, and uniforms. This role ensures that housekeeping and other departments have the necessary linen supplies to maintain guest satisfaction and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • The following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

    • Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related equipment according to established procedures.

    • Sort, load, wash, dry, fold, and store linens and terry in accordance with brand and hotel standards.

    • Inspect linens for wear, damage, or stains and follow proper procedures for rewash or discard.

    • Maintain par levels for all linen types and communicate shortages or equipment issues promptly.

    • Ensure laundry room cleanliness, organization, and safe operation at all times.

    • Assist with inventory counts of linens and supplies as required.

    • Follow chemical handling procedures and maintain compliance with MSDS guidelines.

    • Support Housekeeping by delivering clean linens and retrieving soiled items as needed.

    • Report any maintenance concerns related to laundry equipment or facilities.

    • Uphold all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.

    • Represent the hotel professionally in all interactions with guests and team members.

Qualifications
  • Hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • This position is labor intensive and does require the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be available for weekends, nights, and peak business periods 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs and carry loads up to 200 feet.

  • Ability to bend, squat, reach overhead, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.

  • Ability to work in warm environments due to laundry equipment.
