Job description

Express Employment Professional is seeking a reliable and detailoriented Machine Operator (Downstream Technician) to join their 2ndshift production team in Lacon IL. This role supports the pipe extrusion process by handling, inspecting, cutting, bundling, and preparing finished product for shipment. The ideal candidate is safetyfocused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
 
Pay:
  • $18.50/HR
Schedule:
  • Monday - Thursday. 3:00pm-1:00am. - might train on day shift 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Operate downstream equipment such as cutters, saws, pullers, and bundlers
  • Perform quality checks on pipe for length, diameter, defects, and labeling accuracy
  • Stack, strap, and prepare finished pipe bundles for storage or shipment
  • Assist extrusion operators with line changeovers and setup
  • Communicate production issues to supervisors and extrusion operators 
Qualifications & Requirements: 
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
  • Comfortable working in a warm industrial environment
  • Ability to read measurements and follow written instructions
