Production Worker - Nehring Electrical Works Company
Job Summary
The Production Worker supports wire manufacturing operations by assisting with the production, processing, and inspection of wire products. This role helps ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining safety, efficiency, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor wire manufacturing equipment such as wire drawing, stranding, extrusion, spooling, and cutting machines
  • Load raw materials (wire rods, reels, spools) into production equipment
  • Measure wire diameter, length, and tolerances using gauges and measuring tools
  • Inspect finished wire products for defects such as breaks, surface flaws, or dimensional issues
  • Package, label, and move finished wire reels or coils
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Perform basic machine adjustments, cleaning, and routine maintenance
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
  • Keep work area clean and organized (5S standards)
  • Communicate production issues, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred; wire, metal, or extrusion experience a plus
