Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies
  • Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements
  • Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device
  • Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials
  • Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules
  • Keep production lines supplied with raw materials
  • Inventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie product
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device
  • Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the warehouse
  • Communicate with floor lead - maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handled
  • Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines
  • Special projects as business dictate
  • Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have earned a High School Diploma, GED, required schooling, qualifying experience or skills
  • Machine Operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented and self-directed
  • Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
  • Must be able to perform all the job functions safely
  • Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified
  • Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements
