Label Specialist II
Position Summary
  • Work Schedule: M-F 2:30pm-11pm
  • 100% based on-site in Kansas City

Catalent's Kansas City (KCM) facility is a premier site for integrated drug development, manufacturing, and clinical supply services, supporting a wide range of pharmaceutical and biotech products. With cutting-edge technologies and a collaborative work environment, it offers exciting opportunities for professionals across all functions-from science and engineering to operations and logistics.
The Label Specialist II provides support to the Project Management Team, Operations Team, and our customers by inspecting labels for use in clinical and commercial packaging and distribution. Responsibilities are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The Role
  • Documentation and paperwork management. Complete and understand all paperwork that is used for the creation and inspection of labels
  • Inspecting English Text, Foreign Text, Multiple panels, and commercial labels for accuracy
  • Understanding of blinding requirements and how to inspect labels for accurately blinding a labe
  • Active participation in all team meetings
  • Continuous housekeeping in Label Control area
  • Proper use of GMP/GDP guidelines
  • Participate/Drive continuous improvement in Label Control
  • All other duties assigned.

The Candidate
  • High-school diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ years of clinical labelling experience or related pharmaceutical operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and other personnel.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database software etc.) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders/steps, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, bending, grasping, listening.
