Job Title: Assistant Manager

Position Type: Full - Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, kind hearted, service minded, hardworking, leading, detail-oriented individual to join our team at MeMe’s Upscale Consignment Boutique. This role is a key part of our operations—responsible for managing aspects of the store to keep things running smoothly along with accurately entering merchandise information into our system, assisting consigners during intake appointments, and providing excellent customer service on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Inventory Management

  • Accurately enter product descriptions, prices, and categories into the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain consistency in product tagging and labeling.
  • Assist in tracking inventory and ensuring items are correctly displayed on the sales floor.

Consigner Intake Appointments

  • Greet consigners warmly and explain our consignment process.
  • Review incoming items for quality, brand, and seasonal relevance according to store guidelines.
  • Document accepted items, prepare intake forms, and ensure all required paperwork is completed.
  • Provide a positive, professional experience to encourage repeat business.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in finding products that meet their needs.
  • Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle returns/exchanges per store policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor.
  • Stay knowledgeable about current promotions, featured items, and store policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with POS systems.
  • Previous retail experience required
  • Consignment experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs.
