The Opportunity
As our Lab Technician Intern, you will assist with preparation of samples and residue analysis for Citrus products. You will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and assist with a variety of procedures that include handling chemicals and testing products. You will be based out of the Riverside, CA site. Internship is expected to run through May-June
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently prepare and extract residue samples, ensuring readiness for accurate and timely analysis.
  • Conduct residue analyses with precision, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain and stock reagents, ensuring their quality and integrity are preserved.
  • Keep the laboratory clean and organized, ensuring an efficient working environment.
  • Regularly check and maintain lab equipment, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors for resolution.
  • Additional responsibilities besides the ones listed below may be revised.

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing or holding an Associate/Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
  • Experience in a chemistry lab through classwork or job is mandatory.
  • Basic laboratory experience is required.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals.
  • Able to read and understand Chemical SDS's.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in various conditions, including indoor/outdoor weather, moving industrial machinery, chemicals and fumes, noisy or dusty environments.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, squat and step up/down for various amounts of time and paces.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift, push, pull and move materials, typically up to 50 pounds.
  • Hand Use: Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling equipment and performing tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

The estimated annual salary/hourly range for this role is $ 20.00/hour - $25.00/hour Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
