Job description

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Per Diem Cardiac Cath Lab The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Per Diem will: Maintain the safe operation of designated equipment and instruments. Set up equipment prior to procedure and assist in patient preparation, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedure utilizing event log on hemodynamic monitoring system.

Maintain the power injection and accurate monitoring of image acquisitions during procedure. Perform as active member of cath lab team in assisting with other duties, including supply and inventory management, patient safety, staff development and educational activities. Requirements: Graduate of an approved ARRT Radiology technology program or Graduate of an approved and accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent.

Registered Radiology Technologist, RT (R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, RCIS. Experienced in invasive cardiovascular procedures. Requires a working knowledge of the x-ray equipment with the ability to assist the physician.

Requires a working knowledge of radiation safety and the hemodynamic monitoring systems. Possesses the strong knowledge of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures and the ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias. Maintains and understanding working knowledge of monitoring equipment, information system, emergency equipment, and department's specific equipment.

Possesses the ability to think and move quickly in order to deliver quality and efficient patient care. Possesses the skills and sensitivity to work well as a team member with physicians, patients and co-workers. Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, emergencies, and staffing and schedule changes.

BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. ACLS certification required. We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data.

In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
