Job Description:

Kidney Specialist ofSouthern Nevada (KSOSN) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations at our laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in clinical lab environments and a dedication to patient care and precision. This is an in-person, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic clinical laboratory testing under supervision, in accordance with lab policies and medical regulations.
  • Log specimens and accurately input patient data into the lab information system.
  • Generate and distribute worklists to appropriate lab sections.
  • Prepare specimens for transport to reference laboratories.
  • Maintain records by filing hard copies, lab reports, and test result documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and performance improvement procedures.
  • Respond to incoming calls and serve as a primary liaison between the lab and client offices.
  • Order and manage laboratory supply inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the lab environment, including proper disposal of specimens.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of non-technical staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director or designee.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
