Job description

Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Irvine, CA Work Model: Onsite Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00/hr Type: 12-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities

  • Testing of coatings.
  • Evaluate, collect and record data.
  • Routine data generation based on standard test method.
  • Support application engineer for data generation.
  • Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
  • Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
  • Involved in making cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from chemical ingredients.
  • Tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Not afraid of equipment operation and lab testing.
  • Experience in lab hands on work and good at 5S.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a good team player.
  • Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
  • Ability to follow safe laboratory practices/protocols.
  • Ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
