Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

Sun Careers: 

Overview: This person is responsible for performing routine test procedures and reporting results. They must be able to use a computer for data entry and keep good records. They should be able to work with little supervision, safely and effectively.

Responsibilities/Duties: 

  • Performs all work in a safe manner, knows and reviews both laboratory and plant safety rules. Adheres to all lab and plant safety rules.
  • Maintains work accuracy at a high level in order to ensure the procedures are accurately followed and results properly recorded.
  • Ensures that SOP's (in particular tests and specifications), information systems, calibration programs, ISO requirements and company procedures are adequately implemented and maintained to ensure compliance with all company QMS requirements. Microsoft Office.
  • Uses time wisely in order to maintain a clean and safe environment, while still keeping up with normal workflow. Meets overtime requirements for the department.  Is able to work with a minimum of Supervisor intervention yet uses good judgment as to when to involve a Supervisor on decisions.
  • Expresses a good attitude by working with others, developing solid team performance, communicates clearly and effectively and meets organizational goals.
  • Trains new employees in the day to day duties as requested.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • 2 year degree in Engineering or ChemistryPreferred
  • 5 years of prior Lab  QC experience
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office
  • Strong computer, organizational, analytical, and mathematical 
  • Strong communication skills and good time management skills

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  •  SAP Experience is a plus
  • Prefer experience in general color testing and color application testing
