Job description

Job SummaryResponsible for providing laboratory support along with performance of routine chemical and physical testing of samples as required. Duties are of routine nature and are followed according to established standard operating procedures. Individual must use judgement to determine when independent actions are appropriate or to contact supervisor for direction.
Hourly Rate: $18.79
Schedule: M-F; 6AM-2:30PM
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.Responsibilities
  • Cleans, sanitizes and/or disinfects laboratory glassware, environmental chambers, and water baths.
  • Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and samples. Receives supplies and stock shelves or delivers supplies as necessary.
  • Maintains laboratory in compliance with safety, GMP, and GLP standards.
  • Follows standard operating procedure while performing duties and maintains accurate records of all physical and analytical testing.
  • Prepares and catalogs HPLC, reagents, ACS and Test Solutions
  • Collects in-process and finished product samples from production department daily.
  • Verifies semi-finished product sample counts and receipts in QC Chemistry prior to use.
  • Receives and verifies QA issued documentation for QC Chemistry prior to use.
  • Ships samples requiring outside laboratory testing.
  • Performs scheduled inspections.
  • Performs data entry of results.
  • Proofreads and verifies accuracy of printed labeling material.
  • Performs routine testing of medical air/utilities, components, labeling, and miscellaneous items by visual/dimensional AQL assessment, using manual and/or automated methods.
  • Qualifies as a visual inspector, subject to ongoing qualification testing/training.
  • Performs daily calibration on IQC inspection lamps and calibers.
  • Maintains the Annual Vendor Qualifications.
  • Responsible for collecting all of the testing data for Interlocation Transfers (ILT).
  • Performs sampling and physical release of Miscellaneous Materials.
  • Performs IQC SAP transactions.
  • Responsible for temperature and/or humidity charts for the IQC office and environmental chambers.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate support of raw materials group including sampling of active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients as well as basic testing of the materials.
  • Performs sampling and physical release of Raw Materials.
  • Performs transactions in SAP for deduction of material after sampling.
  • Cleans and maintains sampling complex (clean room environment)
  • Collects and Tests utility samples
  • Promptly reports discrepancies and out of limits conditions to supervision.
  • Performs other duties as required by Supervisor in support of daily lab operations.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Associate degree in chemical/physical or biological sciences with 1-2 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor with occasional lifting, not to exceed 50 pounds, and at times briefly under conditions of extreme heat, cold and humidity.
