Your Contribution

As our Head of the CRRN Materials & Chemistry Lab in Lockport, NY you will lead a team of materials and chemistry experts to perform laboratory testing in alignment with MAHLE standards, ensuring the delivery of accurate, comprehensive reports to internal and external customers.  You will be responsible to represent our material technology and status to internal and external customers, build and maintain relationships.  Coordinate closely with MAHLE's global CRR organization to maintain and implement current and emerging testing standards, while managing laboratory operations within defined budgets and ensuring proper project charging. You will be very hands on with our heat exchange products, the braising process, validations, testing, failures, etc. and responsible to represent our material technology and status to internal and external customers. 

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Materials Engineering preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering required
  • 5 years of prior leadership experience with direct reports
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working in a laboratory environment with related materials
  • Knowledge and experience in laboratory methods and HSE regulations
  • Preferred experience in leading employees applying metallographic and chemical investigation methods e.g. failure analysis
  • Advanced capabilities in technical report writing and report editing
