Description
Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Lab Assistant (0.2 FTE) to join the team in our Lab! Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, patient education, and analysis of waived testing. This position serves patients in both the hospital and clinic setting. Additionally, this position supports clinical testing, general lab operations, and will be responsible for other tasks based on qualifications and experience, as deemed necessary to meet regulatory compliance, organizational/departmental goals and to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the department. This is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification from Board of Registry from ASCP or equivalent for Clinical Lab Assistant within 9 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vocational training in the area of laboratory assistant, lab aide or phlebotomy
  • 1+ years laboratory experience or degree in a Laboratory Assistant program
  • CPR certification

Other Qualifications:
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records
  • Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility

Work Schedule:
  • 0.2 FTE - 16 hours per biweekly pay period
  • Weekend and holiday rotation
