Dive into the Customer Operations organization as a summer intern
This role works directly with our Engineering organization and provides hands-on experience working on the newly built Product Customer Experience (PCX) Lab in El Segundo, CA.
In this role you may work on
  • Implementing software updates and feature enhancements.
  • Identify and research issues through various sources and feedback channels to create solutions.
  • Investigate system gaps and opportunities.

Who we're looking for:
  • Undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
  • Solid general technical knowledge and ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Strong technical acumen with analytical problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with DIRECTV products and services
  • Engineering-focused mindset with attention to detail and innovation
  • Coding experience across a broad range of programming languages
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a virtual or remote environment
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and engaging with leadership
  • (Desired) Exposure to artificial intelligence technologies, particularly computer vision (e.g., image recognition, object detection, video analytics), is a strong plus

This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in our El Segundo lab. Candidates need to be local to the Los Angeles area and have reliable transportation.
Program Details
  • Duration: 10-week internship
  • Program Dates: 6/7 - 8/13/27 or 6/14/27 - 8/20/27
  • Eligibility: Must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future
  • This position can earn $25 - $34 per hour, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers. (Hourly rate based on academic status)
