Job description

Title: Engineering Technician

Location: 201 West Queen Street, Southington, CT 06489 United States

Pay rate: $30 to $34/hr on W2.


Job Summary:

  • Seeking an Engineering Technician to support R&D activities including new product development, prototype builds, product testing, validation, and post-launch improvements.
  • This role works closely with engineering teams to perform testing, troubleshoot equipment, analyze data, and maintain lab operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Build prototypes, fixtures, and support product testing/validation activities
  • Conduct inspections, testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Troubleshoot test equipment and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and documentation
  • Support Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in a technical field preferred
  • 3โ€“5 years of engineering technician experience in manufacturing/testing, or equivalent education and experience
  • Basic mechanical engineering knowledge and medical device experience preferred
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, technical drawings, and Minitab
  • Understanding of GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, and engineering documentation practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze data, and work effectively in a team environment
