Healthcare Support is seeking a travel nurse RN Electrophysiology Lab for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Overview
Step into a high-performing Cath/EP Lab serving Central and West Texas and play a key role in advanced cardiac care. As a Contract RN in the Cath/EP Lab, youโ€™ll support complex procedures including ablations, device implants and extractions, and structural heart cases. Youโ€™ll join a collaborative, experienced team of nurses, technologists, and providers, working four 10-hour day shifts per week with no weekends and no call requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to elevate your procedural and cardiac skill set in a busy, well-equipped lab while enjoying a predictable schedule.

Required Skills
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact RN license, as applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in one of the following:
    • Cath Lab
    • EP Lab
    • Interventional Radiology
    • Operating Room (OR)
  • Demonstrated competency in caring for patients undergoing invasive cardiac or vascular procedures
  • Ability to monitor and manage hemodynamically unstable patients
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Comfort with EMR documentation (Meditech experience a plus)
  • Proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Clear, professional communication and patient education skills
Nice to Have Skills
  • More than 1 year of dedicated EP RN experience
  • Prior experience with:
    • Ablations
    • Device implants and extractions
    • Structural heart procedures
  • Familiarity with EP mapping systems and lab equipment, including:
    • Biosense Webster
    • Abbott
    • Boston Scientific
    • Medtronic
  • Experience in high-volume procedural or cardiac specialty units
  • Previous travel or contract nursing experience in acute care settings
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a Cath Lab, EP Lab, Interventional Radiology, or OR (additional experience strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience in a large acute care or tertiary medical center is ideal
Other Requirements
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule:
    • 4 day shifts per week
    • Hours: 6:30 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM
    • No weekend requirements
    • No call requirements
