Job description

Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a rapidly growing, high-throughput wellness laboratory in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, focused on delivering advanced diagnostic testing across molecular, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, and hematology. This CLIA-aligned startup is building scalable, high-quality operations and is seeking Medical Lab Technician or Technologist to support testing services.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist to support daily testing within a fast-paced, high-volume wellness laboratory processing approximately 80,000 samples. This role is a critical, hands-on bench position.
Working under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the idea candidate will provide high-quality testing results in adherence to CLIA standards across Molecular (PCR), Immunology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Culture, and Hematology testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Bench Work & Technical Support

  • Perform high-complexity testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established SOPs
  • Accurately review, verify, and release patient results
  • Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting routine issues on the bench
  • Assist with instrument maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting


Quality & Compliance

  • Follow and reinforce established quality control procedures and documentation practices
  • Support compliance with CLIA, laboratory safety standards, and internal quality programs
  • Assist with maintaining audit readiness and participating in inspections as needed

Cross-Department Support

  • Contribute to testing across multiple areas, including molecular (PCR), chemistry, hematology, and microbiology
  • Help ensure best practices are followed across workflows, including contamination control in all areas

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Associates' degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field
  • MLT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required
  • 1-3+ years of clinical laboratory experience, including high-complexity testing in Molecular (PCR), Immunology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Culture, and Hematology
  • Working knowledge of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality systems

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in high-volume or high-throughput laboratory environments
  • Familiarity with automated instrumentation and workflow optimization
  • Exposure to multiple laboratory disciplines (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, molecular)

Salary, Benefits, Shift:

  • Salary: $28–$34/hour
  • Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
