JOB SUMMARY

Nurse Supervisor - Cath Lab

Location: Baylor Frisco at PGA Parkway/The Heart Hospital Frisco

Specialty: Cath Lab Registered Nurse 

Shift/Schedule: Full Time | Day Shift | 4/10’s | 7:00am-5:30pm | Rotating weekday day off |  

Call Requirement: Must reside within 30 min of facility; Avg. 9-10 days of call per month including 1 weekend per month

Experience Requirement:  2 years Cath or EP Lab experience preferred.  ICU or IR experience accepted.

Case Types: Cardiac catheterization/PCI, Impella, IABP, Vascular intervention, EVAR, Device implantation

Cases per day: 4-10

Role: Circulate, Sedate, Monitor. Must be able to stand while wearing lead for long periods of time. This role involves frequent exposure to moments of above average pressure.

Job Summary

You oversee nursing staff and unit operations in the Catheter Lab. Your goal is to promote positive outcomes for patients and staff by fostering partnership. Your day involves overseeing operations and productivity. You assist the Nursing Manager with planning, developing, and evaluating policies. You also manage budgets and resources. You manage quality improvement initiatives and organize educational programs. You help with administration and provide hands-on nursing care as needed. The goal is to meet department and organizational priorities.
