Job description

Pay Rate: $18.02 / hour
We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Ypsilanti, MI area to provide them with a Lab Technician. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Lab Technician:
#1. Must have 0-3 years of laboratory testing experience with the ability to accurately perform testing, document results, and follow written specifications.
#2. Must have strong attention to detail with experience recording data accurately and identifying defects or discrepancies during inspections.
#3. Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to complete laboratory reports and maintain accurate records.
#4. Must be able to read, interpret, and follow detailed testing procedures while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and security standards.
#5. Must have a stable work history with no more than three jobs in the last 10 years and demonstrate good attendance and reliability.
Responsibilities for the Lab Technician:
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing security and quality testing on finished products and customer samples to ensure conformance with company and customer specifications. The role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures in a safety- and security-sensitive laboratory environment.
Requirements for the Lab Technician:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of laboratory testing experience preferred.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and applying written specifications or procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data recording and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform standing, walking, bending, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Work Schedule: 12-hour shift, 3 days per week, or 8-hour shift, 5 days per week.
