Job description

Position: Laboratory Support Aide

Shift: Rotating days 7:30am-3:30pm or Rotating days 9:30am-6pm

Pay: $25/hour
Lighthouse Lab Services is partnered with an established laboratory who seeking a Laboratory Support Aide to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring specimens are accurately received, processed, and prepared for testing while supporting efficient laboratory operations.

The Role You'll Play:

  • Receive, register, and accession incoming laboratory specimens
  • Verify specimen integrity and prepare samples for testing
  • Load and organize specimens for laboratory analyzers and workflows
  • Maintain specimen processing turnaround times and daily productivity goals
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Assist with pre-analytical, analytical support, and post-analytical laboratory processes
  • Operate laboratory equipment and perform routine tasks under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support quality assurance initiatives
  • Perform other laboratory support duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or another physical or biological science preferred
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

This position is based in a clinical laboratory and requires the ability to:
