Job Description:

  • Transferring samples from the incubation room to the micro lab for daily testing.
  • Preparing and sanitizing the micro lab and testing samples.
  • Sorting, clearing, and properly disposing of tested samples.
  • Assisting with inventory and stock management of lab supplies and materials.
  • Performing general preventative maintenance and cleaning of QC equipment and the micro lab.
  • Preparing, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining supplies and work areas including the incubation room, micro lab, and sample storage areas.
  • Assisting with sorting products in cases and laying samples on pallets when required.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and monitoring of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Team Leader promptly.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on the night shift, which operates from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. The hourly rate for the role is $20.04 with a night shift premium of $1

About You:

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience supporting QC Technicians in a laboratory environment is preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work periodically in a warm environment - Incubation/Hot Room
