Job description

Join a dynamic, patient-focused healthcare team at a 150-bed acute care hospital in Central Georgia, where clinical excellence meets compassionate care. This facility delivers comprehensive services—including 24/7 emergency care, advanced radiology, women’s health, and a full spectrum of medical and surgical services—serving both inpatient and outpatient populations.


What You’ll Do
  • Lead the technical operations of your assigned laboratory section, ensuring all procedures meet established policies and standards
  • Partner closely with the Lab Director/Manager to support departmental goals and initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with CAP standards, driving excellence in quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Monitor and communicate performance issues, unusual occurrences, and development progress to leadership
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges while ensuring accuracy of testing methods and instrumentation
  • Review laboratory reports for accuracy, including reference lab results, before release
  • Oversee inventory and participate in cost analysis for current and new testing procedures
  • Manage team scheduling, workload distribution, and staff development—including orientation and training
  • Ensure timely completion and reporting of all lab work
  • Step in as a bench technologist when needed to support workflow and maintain productivity
Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, Evening Shift 
  • No weekends or holidays
