  • The Digital Innovation and Operational Services Chapter is a global R&D team focused on internal improvement: boosting productivity, efficiency, and cross-organizational collaboration. We simplify systems, harmonize tools and processes, and bridge global and organizational silos.
  • We are looking for an R&D Enterprise Tools Operations Specialist to join our global support team. This role requires a well-organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused individual with a knack for process improvement, data, and technology.
  • Your primary goal is to be a reliable service provider, handling critical system requests to ensure global scientists and engineers can focus on developing innovative products. Beyond daily support, you will master business processes to identify and automate tedious parts, helping us digitize and streamline administrative burdens.
Key Responsibilities
  • As part of a global centralized expert support team, you will:
  • Execute R&D System Requests: Fulfill customer tool requests using expertise in business systems and compliance standards.
  • Provide Timely Expert Support: Offer professional, empathetic, and quick solutions to R&D operational issues and system problems.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert: Be the expert for one or more complex R&D business applications.
  • Specialize in R&D Processes: Develop deep expertise in key processes (e.g., records management, lab data, change requests) for high-accuracy execution.
  • Maximize Scientist Productivity: Use expertise across business data and organizational structure to streamline operations and save significant time.
  • Anticipate Customer Needs: Build organizational know-how of R&D roles and priorities to deliver proactive system support.
  • Maintain Global Service Excellence: Demonstrate a strong, collaborative customer service mindset within a diverse, global team.
  • Drive Process Improvement & Automation:
  • Identify manual steps and actively suggest opportunities for digitization and improvement.
  • Apply or develop automation and AI tools to reduce administrative load on R&D staff.
  • Ensure Data Integrity and Compliance: Guarantee all activities strictly adhere to regulated R&D processes, supporting audits and data retrieval.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical, scientific, or business discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in an Data Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, or Operations Analysis role, or equivalent academic experience.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal English is required for global support.
  • System Proficiency: Essential ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes.
  • Execution & Focus: Proven ability to complete complex, detailed tasks accurately and efficiently with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach to following established processes.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Education and experience in data structures, databases, automation, scripting, AI prompt engineering, and/or development of AI agents.
  • Strong technical aptitude with great communication skills
  • Prior experience in enterprise business applications (e.g., Electronic Document Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, or Project Management tools).
  • Preferred degrees: Software Engineering, IT, Computer Programming, Computer Science
  • Tools: Experience with EDMS, Cornerstone, Google Suite, and Office Suite is a plus.
