This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
What You Will Do
This is a premier opportunity for a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our established team at Ascension Medical Group Via Christi. Lead life-saving procedures, benefit from a strong referral base, and utilize the full clinical resources of a robust, mission-centered health system.
  • Join a highly-skilled and expanding cardiology team of 10 physicians (General, Interventional, and Cardiac Electrophysiology) and 17 dedicated Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Call structure: Favorable 1:6 call schedule.
  • Practice setting: Mix of inpatient and outpatient care, operating out of a remodeled clinic space with close proximity to the hospital.
  • Dedicated primary cath lab access at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, serving all 3 Ascension Via Christi Hospital locations.
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system with academic affiliation through the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita, offering teaching and mentoring opportunities.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration.
  • Perform a broad range of complex coronary and peripheral interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with a highly experienced heart care team to advance our integrated cardiac service line.
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is required.
