QC Lab Associate
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on innovative cell therapy development, is seeking a QC Lab Associate to support essential laboratory operations. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their laboratory career to gain hands-on experience within a GMP-regulated biotech/pharma environment.
Location: Newark, CA (on-site) | 1-year contract | Shift: M-F 9-5 | Compensation: $28-31/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Order laboratory reagents, consumables, and office supplies in SAP; restock workstation consumables; organize reagents by expiration date using a first-in, first-out approach.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory equipment and perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning activities as needed.
  • Assist with receipt and documentation of incoming samples, reagents, and chemicals.
  • Perform laboratory activities in accordance with applicable SOPs and cGMP requirements.
  • Follow good documentation practices when recording activities in laboratory equipment logbooks.
  • Handle liquid nitrogen-frozen samples and chemicals as needed.
  • ]Support archival of Quality Control data, including preparing binders and scanning documents.
  • Review test method data and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Perform equipment maintenance testing as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of GMP
  • Good communication skills
  • QC experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or degree preferred
  • Biotech/pharma industry background preferred
